Okay, so we still don't know the sex of the little "fire in my belly" I like to call it. Turns out that even though we COULD have found out, the appointment wasn't for a full ultrasound, just the heartbeat monitoring and other assorted non-finding-out-the-sex check ups. We'll have to wait until 26 June when we have our next 3D ultrasound. UGH, it's so hard to wait, but keep those votes coming, we'll just have to see.
Another ARRGGHH moment came on because I'm still puke-y. WHAT?! Although I must admit it is getting way better, I've been totally over this whole nausea/vomiting thing... err, let me rephrase, I've been totally mentally over this for about 12 weeks now, I've been totally physically not over it for about 12 weeks now. "Fire in my belly" is right, I think that's going to be the baby's name regardless of sex. Little Fire Buckmiller. He can be like an honorary Native American.
On to some sad (but also happy) news to report: we gave our little precious Baxter up for adoption (SAD!). It was kind of inevitable- trying to handle a pregnancy with multiple dogs was just much more difficult that I had ever anticipated. And he just wasn't getting the attention I know he deserved to have. So he went to a super loving couple just a few miles away (HAPPY!). We're thrilled he's in such a fantastic new home, he's gonna love it there. They already love him to pieces, but it's impossible not to. Needless to say, Jack and Hana have been wandering around a little dazed and bummed, looking for their lost brother. Alas, we've been giving them extra cuddles (and some treat bribes) to help soothe the concerns.
This is Baxter and Hanalei just waking up from a nap on my laundry day. Can you tell he really enjoys cuddling?
And this is them trying to distract me from my sickness by their cuteness.
Mick and I will miss his terribly, but we have a new little one that's kinda coming more and more into priority. (Hmm, imagine that!) Anyway, we'll keep everyone posted when we find out more about our little babe. Trust me, we have high "sex-pectations" for our next visit. (Yes, you can go ahead and roll your eyes at that one.) =D
